- Are masks required?
Plain and simply: yes. As it is state mandated that masks are to be worn in public spaces it is required to be worn in the gym. - Do I need prior climbing experience before I climb at Canyons?
No, we have an orientation designed to teach you the basics of climbing and belaying safety. If it's your first time in the gym click here for more information. - Do I need to bring my own equipment?
If you have your own equipment you are more than welcome to bring it! Otherwise we offer rental gear onsite if you need it. - If I'm a member, may I bring a friend to climb?
Members are allowed to bring one first-time guest per day free of charge, as well as one returning guest per month. Gear rental is included. - Do you have autobelays?
Yes, we typically have 4-5 autobelays set up around the gym available for climbers to use if they do not have a belay partner. - Is there an age or weight restriction to climb?
There is no age restriction, but they must weigh at least 30 lbs. to wear a harness. Our autobelays and ropes can support up to 300 lbs. - Do you have lead climbing walls?
Yes, but in order to climb at our gym you must pass a proficiency test with a certified staff member. - May I climb in the morning and return to climb in the evening?
Yes, with the purchase of a day pass or as a member you may come and go as you please. - May I bring a group to climb?
Yes, we offer group sessions with a custom climbing experience tailored to you and your group's needs. No previous experience is required and we provide all the necessary climbing gear. Book a group by phone or email, at least 2 weeks in advance. - Do you offer climbing lessons?
Yes, we offer a variety of lessons including:
- Several youth programs
- Climbing 101 course
- Private lessons
- Lead lessons
